Hi there and welcome to my place. Well what do you think? I had some remodeling done and planted a few trees. I live in Brisbane Australia and I'm 26 years old. On March 21, 1947, the 122nd Street Police Station in New York got a call about a dead body. When they got to the house it took the policeman several hours to cross the few feet to where the body of Homer Collyer lay, shrouded in a bathrobe. You see, the man was a hermit and when the police started sifting through the estimated 136 tonnes of junk, it took them 3 weeks !! They found organs, pianos, a car chassis, books,medical specimens in jars, 6 US flags and 1 Union Jack flag and a stack of bank books. On April 8th, a final grisly twist appeared. A workman was clearing out the house and in a spot near where Homer had been found, he lifted up some newspapers to reveal a foot! When the workman looked further he found the body of Homer's brother Langley Collyer. It was discovered that langley had sprung one of his own burglar traps and then suffocated under the garbage that had fallen down on top of him. Homer's death had now been explained - you see, Homer who was blind and paralyzed by rheumatism and totally dependant on his brother, had died from starvation and shock. The house is now a parking lot | Bet you didn't know that... | ||||||||||||||||
